A wall of units
By breaking up this wall of smooth, white faced units with an inset display area lined in a rich wood veneer, Domus have created a focal point and eye-level area of interest.
Above: The recessed lighting focuses attention on the objects arranged in the niche, and is especially effective in the evening when there is low ambient light in the room.
Top right: the rich colour and grain of the wood contrasts with the smooth white finish of the units, and gives a mellow frame to the objects arranged within.
Right: By creating this focal point within the unit, it creates the illusion that the surrounding area of white cupboards appears smaller and therefore less dominant.
