"With the increase in home-working, dedicated office space is in demand.

This foldaway office was built in to a second bedroom; by day it is a fully functioning and attractive office, but at night it can be shut away, behind neat, folding, laquered doors.

This design by Domus Furniture can be tailored to most spaces and finished in a range of colours."

Greenwich, Georgian House, Kitchen Installation

We have been commissioned to supply and install a kitchen in a Georgian house in Greenwich, to be located in half of a traditional, ground floor through room.

The clients are looking for a contemporary design that will complement the traditional period rooms, as well as being a stunning feature.

As the rooms are big, with plenty of natural light, it has been decided to lay the floors in black oak which will complement both the traditional rooms and the contemporary kitchen.

As can be seen from the sketches, one wall is to be covered with 2.7 metre high cupboards. These will be finished in coloured lacquer, with some of the interiors having a natural black bog oak finish to complement the floor. For simplicity of design, these cupboards will be touch-open and house a fridge, washing machine, dryer, water softener, utility cupboard, larder, general storage and two ovens.

The island unit is to have lacquered doors and a grey composite stone worktop with integral sink. This unit will house a dishwasher, wine storage and general storage.

On the opposite wall a floating unit of six drawers will be wrapped in a frame of the same stone as the island worktop. The drawers will be in a coloured lacquered finish.

Above this unit will be a floating slimline unit with a bog oak veneered interior, integral lighting and a flush green glass splashback.
